Formed as the second generation of “Circle Lychee” in October 2023. The concept of the group is “Screams”, expressing realistic human heart and the cry of soul.

biography

In October 2023, formation of the group as one of the first three groups of Circle Lychee (numbered the second generation, because of the existence of the main group, Mercuro) was announced. They performed at some live concerts during pre-debut period in October, and then officially debuted on November 2nd in “Sabukaru Vol.Zero*1”. Anligon was included in the debut members, who was an already famous YouTuber.

*1 “Sabukaru” is the short term for “Subculture” in Japanese, sometimes including the nuance of underground culture or decadent atmosphere.

Although some troubles such as some members left the group early after debut, Alice Sinoah from LeNoirEclat joined as a support member soon becoming an official member, and then Tsuyoi Nasuzu and Loxo Rin joined the group, which led to the success of their half-anniversary concert at Shibuya WOMBLIVE (Tokyo) in May 2024.

In November 2024, the group held their 1st-anniversary concert “Clara Dogra Magura” at O-WEST (TOKYO). In February 2025, they performed with backing band for the first time in the live concert at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM with Verotica.

Short Review

Among three groups of the second generation of Circle Lychee, the style theme of Clara Magura is “Black” in contrast with Verotica’s “White”, pursuing deeper essences of Taisho Roman and Retro Japan which their elder sister Mercuro has had.

After the song “Nekkyou Loud Land” (2024), this Retro-oriented direction was strengthened through their third version stage costume in the style of Hakama for all members, establishing their unique visual style of “Wa” (Japanese traditional) – Gothic eclectic.

Among the groups of Circle Lychee, the performance style of Clara Magura is the closest to the so-called “Waki-kei *2”, which means style of acting lively and also encouraging audiences to shout actively and dance animatedly. However, they provide a wide range of sophisticated performances with songs like “Mayday” or “Ifu Doudou*3”, which have a stylish mood with dark and heavy sound, while singing beautiful melodies of “Tsuki no Shirube*4”. In addition, the song “Taikutsu Galapagos*5,” which has a Kawaii Future Bass-style sound, is noteworthy, and several other songs are also worth discussing for their musical quality from a critical perspective.

*2 “沸き” (Waki) is the noun form of the verb “Waku” in Japanese, which means audiences making some noises, doing call and responses actively, dancing animatedly in the live concert, especially in the idol culture.

*3 “威風堂堂” (Ifu Doudou) … The confident behavior with dignity. The term is known as the translation of the song title “Pomp and Circumstance” Marches by Edward Elgar in Japan.

*4 “ツキノシルベ” (Tsuki no Shirube) … The guiding light of the moon.

*5 “退屈ガラパゴス” (Taikutsu Galapagos) … The pleasures to killing boredom with variations beyond imagination like animals in Galapagos Islands.

While Verotica in the same generation built a career without any members to leave from debut, Clara Magura went through many hard situations with the problems related with changing of members, though this made their unity even stronger.
