Formed in 2022, they belong to imaginate’s idol project HEROINES. They were formed when former member of Higeki no Heroine Syndrome, Yayoi Yamu, gathered members to resume group activities. Their concept is build up with dark gothic tones and religious motifs, and their heavy sound spans EDM and metal.
Biography
Following the disbandment of Higeki no Heroine Syndrome, Yayoi Yamu remained with imaginate and pursued a solo career. In order to start an idol group again, she launched an audition project titled “Kodou” (meaning “heartbeat” in Japanese). Miki Ray and Miyako Yuna were selected through the audition, and Otoha Rizu from BLK LiLiY joined them to debut as a four-person group.
On September 20, 2024, marking the second anniversary of their formation, they digitally released their first album, “Adam.” They promoted the album on their “MARIAGE” tour of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, performing new songs at each show and selling out the final show at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO in Tokyo.
Short Review
Even among the members of Higeki no Heroine Syndrome (Hiroshin), Yayoi Yamu has a particularly gothic vibe, and has created this group by fully incorporating the essence of her preferred worldview. Their live performances, with their unique atmosphere and almost no calls or “MIX”es, are hard to find in the current live idol scene. HEROINES members and fans alike are unanimous in saying that their singing and dancing skills are the best in the agency, and they are overwhelmed by the way they beautifully perform complex songs.
The songs are unified with a metal/EDM-style sound, incorporating religious motifs such as the story of the Paradise Lost and sutra chanting of Buddhism, which build a unique order of AdamLilith. Since the new song “giving” on “Adam,” also with songs like “Mariage” and “Anti-Dystopia,” they seem to be challenging themselves with killer tunes with melodious song part that are more easily accepted by everyone, having maintained their previous gothic tone.
